It’s just like 24

November 4, 2009 | Written by Ged Carroll

Writing a blog demystified in real-time. I am co-developing this with the healthcare team.

What is a blog? Web pages published in date order.

Why blog? Is there anybody out there? Yes. Google reads everything, it loves fresh, relevant, regularly updated content. Its good for prospective partners and employees to get colour of your organisation.  Over time people will find it.

How long does a blog post need to be? As long as you want.

What should a post be about? Something that you’re interested in. If you can’t be interested in, how can you expect other people to be interested in it.

Think about an editorial calendar.

Think about someplace to capture inspiration.

Can it be visually interesting?

What can I blog about?

  • The art of blogging
  • What I’ve seen
  • What I’ve done
  • What I haven’t done
  • What I’ve read
  • What I’ve watched
  • What you intend to do
  • What you think
  • What you feel? Not what you grope though
  • Visual diary
  • Who I work with?
  • What do you get out of working with each other
  • What have you learned?

Any further suggestions, please comment below. You’ve been a great audience! “Great artists steal!” - Pablo Picasso
